Manchester United have reached an agreement with Juventus Turin to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
United has agreed to give Juventus around 15 million.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes said Friday afternoon that his client’s return to United was about to be confirmed, and the club officially announced the news shortly before 5 p.m.
“Manchester United are pleased to confirm that they have reached an agreement with Juventus on the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to personal, visa and medical conditions,” said a statement from United.
“Everyone at the club is looking forward to seeing Cristiano back in Manchester.”
Ronaldo’s departure from Juventus was confirmed on Friday by coach Massimiliano Allegri, who revealed he had been told by the player that he had “no intention” to represent the club again
United’s rivals Manchester City were given the chance to sign the 36-year-old and considered a move, but the Premier League champions pulled out of negotiations.
