Despite Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s united front at last night’s Donda album event, multiple sources reported to E! News that she was surprised by the rapper’s decision to include Marilyn Manson and DaBaby in the project.
An insider close to Kim tells E! News exclusive that she was “very upset” to learn of Marilyn’s involvement. The rocker faces multiple allegations of abuse and sexual misconduct that he has denied.
According to the source, Kim did not know Marilyn or any of the other people would be there before they arrived, and stated, “She would never have participated in anything if she had known Manson was a part of it.”
A second source near the E! Reality star says she is just as angry about the presence of DaBaby, who came under fire in July for making derogatory and false claims about the LGBTQ + community. And while Kim kept her consent to attend, the source said she felt “blind” of Kanye because she “really had no idea” of the extent of his plans.

According to the second source, Kim Kanye has already “expressed” her frustration.
However, Kim’s concerns were not met with much understanding, the insider told E! News. “He wants her to see why he picked her up and appreciate the art form,” explains the same source. “Kanye wanted a reaction. He wants people to talk about his album and that was the approach he took.”
A third source, close to Kanye, reiterates that the rapper is “unimpressed by the backlash” because he “wants people to talk about his album”.
“Kanye takes a creative look at everything and tries to drown out the excessive noise,” explains the source. “He doesn’t think about the context of his actions.”
In addition, the source insists that Kanye, who invited Marilyn and DaBaby, was not an endorsement of the musicians’ alleged actions. The insider says that while he “may not agree” with what the two men have been accused of, he believes in separating art from artist.
Kim Kardashian & Kanye West: Romance Rewind
In February, actress Evan Rachel Wood accused Marilyn of personal hygiene and sexual abuse in an explicit Instagram post. She had previously spoken publicly about an abusive relationship, but never named the rocker as a suspected perpetrator.
According to the Westworld actress, numerous women made their own allegations of domestic violence, including Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco. This led to an ongoing investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.
On February 2, Manson wrote in a statement posted on Instagram: “Of course my art and my life have long been magnets of controversy, but these recent claims about me are terrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how and why others misrepresent the past, that is the truth. “
DaBaby has since apologized to the LGBTQ + community for being homophobic at a music festival in Miami. “As a man who had to go his own way out of very difficult circumstances, it was a challenge to have people I know publicly work against me – knowing that I needed education and guidance on these issues – was a challenge “Wrote DaBaby in his first apology. “I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who turned to me privately to offer wisdom, education and resources. That was what I needed and it was accepted. “
Meanwhile, a source told E! News that Kim and Kanye won’t get back together despite showing up for the event in a wedding dress. “She knew how much that meant to him and was honored to be a part of it,” said an insider. “The wedding dress was a symbol of their relationship and of the song. It wasn’t a vow renewal. There is still so much love between the two, but they are not reconciled.”
