Kurt Zouma’s move to West Ham
Chelsea are believed to be considering offering Kurt Zouma compensation to ensure his proposed move to West Ham doesn’t collapse.
football.london is aware that despite the involvement of multiple agents in the transfer, the deal for Zouma is expected to be closed.
The two clubs have reached an agreement in principle on the transfer, with the teams agreeing on a £ 25.7m fee, and recent developments also suggest the Frenchman was given a medical check-up in Paris on Thursday afternoon.
According to Reach PLC’s Transfer Window podcast, Ian McGarry said Chelsea are willing to pay Zouma “compensation” in order to make the deal clear and free up space for Seville’s Jules Kounde’s own transfer.
McGarry said: “Marina Granovskaia has proven to be a very skilled operator in the market and decided that if Zouma has to extend the money he receives at West Ham, Chelsea can meet part of his demands by giving him compensation for his current contract in the form of a severance payment.

Jules Kounde’s nearly £ 42 million blues move
The dominoes fit together perfectly and Zouma’s upcoming East London move has prompted the West Londoners to establish official contact with Seville for French star colleague Jules Kounde.
A € 50m (£ 42m) deal now stands between the two teams, according to ESPN, with the Andalusia-based club requiring the majority of the fee to be paid in advance rather than in installments.
The exact fee and the payment structure have yet to be formally agreed and will be announced.
New third kit released
Aside from all the transfer news, the Blues have now released their new third jersey, which certainly looks unique and youthful in its design.
In addition to the traditional blue home kit and the new yellow away kit, Chelsea have released a green and black number as an alternative kit for the new campaign.
