 After being kicked out, Jeff Bezos is back to being the richest man in the world

Jeff Bezos was again named by Forbes as the richest person in the world after two weeks earlier the title was won by the boss and CEO of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) Bernard Arnault.
Bezos became the richest man again after Amazon shares closed more than 2 percent higher on Thursday, June 10, 2021. This boosted Bezos’ net worth by $3.5 billion, while LVMH shares slumped nearly 1 percent, trimming Arnault’s US fortune. $1.4 billion.
Jeff Bezos’ net worth now stands at $193.5 billion, compared to Arnault’s net worth of $192.9 billion. Bezos and Arnault’s position has fluctuated alternately in recent weeks.
On May 24 and 25, Arnault briefly passed Bezos before the market opened in New York and Amazon stock rose, giving the Amazon founder an edge. Then on May 27, Anault took the lead and stayed in his position for two weeks.

Earlier this year, Jeff Bezos competed for the position of the world’s richest man with Tesla boss Elon Musk. Most of Bezos’ net worth is in Amazon stock. In addition to $19 billion in cash and investments, $500 million in real estate, plus aerospace companies Blue Origin and the Washington Post.
Jeff Bezos previously announced that he would be on Blue Origin’s first manned space flight on July 20, 2021, accompanied by his younger brother Mark. Bezos also reserved a third seat for the winner of the online auction which is scheduled to end on June 22.
Since the market was devastated by Covid in March 2020, Bezos’ wealth has increased by $80.5 billion. Jeff Bezos briefly hit a record $200 billion net worth twice in the past year – first in August 2020 and then in late April 2021.
His fortune soared by $99 billion between 2014-2018. But in a report published by ProPublica, Bezos only paid $930 million in federal taxes on $4.33 billion in income over the same period.
